Infor Aligns Performance Management with Business and Role Specific Functionality

Infor PM Provides Deeper, Richer Business Specific Functionality to Drive Faster Results

Infor today announced its strategic vision for delivering world-class solutions for Performance Management (PM), focusing on applications that offer rapid and lasting return on investment. To fulfill this vision, Infor is advancing its current PM offering to provide solutions with built-in, role-based functionality that need less customization and lead to a low total cost of ownership.

“Infor is already recognized by analysts as a leader in delivering performance management solutions that go well beyond generic industry functionality,” said Curtis Gekle, senior vice president, Infor Performance Management. “We see huge demand for extensible and configurable solutions that drive down IT costs and increase access to information across all functional areas of organizations. Today, we are setting this direction for Infor PM and re-stating our commitment to value and innovation to our current and future customers.”

Infor PM solutions are now aligned in two major categories: Infor PM Business Process Applications and Infor PM Business Specific Analytics. The solutions within these categories help companies achieve results more quickly by providing predefined data and process integration with ERP, supply chain and finance systems. Dashboards, key performance indicators and scorecarding capabilities are available across all the solutions.

Infor PM Business Process Applications are enterprise applications for strategic and operational planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and consolidation. Finance as well as other functional departments across an organization can take advantage of the capabilities in Infor PM Business Process Applications. Deployed individually or in a suite configuration on a single platform, Infor PM Business Process Applications provide a “single version of the truth,” consolidating duplicate spreadsheets and databases and eliminating manual input errors through data integration. Infor PM Business Process Applications combine automated processes, guided workflow capabilities, and a familiar Microsoft Excel user interface to help users complete tasks accurately, on time and within established guidelines.

Infor PM Business Specific Analytics provide role-specific analytics to help companies address issues distinct to their business. For areas such as accounts payable, receivables, sales, inventory and general ledger, Infor’s analytics solutions provide pre-defined metrics and reporting capabilities that make managers more effective at evaluating data, making insights and taking decisive action on trends.

The analytics in Infor PM Business Specific Analytics are embedded in the applications, providing users with powerful analysis tools that are integrated with their existing data and systems. In addition to providing business users with more meaningful information to run their business, Infor PM Business Specific Analytics help to reduce the time and cost of delivering solutions. Currently, Infor offers role-specific analytics for sales, accounts receivables, general ledger, accounts payable, inventory and procurement. Infor is developing additional Business Specific Analytics sets, to be announced as they become generally available.

Infor products such as Infor PM MPC will be rebranded under the Infor PM Business Process Applications family. As part of its strategy to extend, enrich and evolve solutions to the benefit of customers, Infor will support current customers.

You'll learn how to extend ERP to dramatically improve the effectiveness and efficiency of key financial processes; how you can enrich your understanding of business activity with real-time management reporting and operational analysis; and how to evolve and improve the performance of your company through the integration of financial and planning processes.
Performance Management – It's Not Just About Technology
While technology has historically been viewed as the "solution" to address companies' business needs, it is only one of several factors that contribute to the real solution. People and processes are also important assets in achieving organizational goals. Performance management initiatives should use all three assets to align, optimize and understand actions and decisions at individual, departmental and corporate levels. Ventana Research has developed a methodology called PerformanceCycle, which employs a three-step process, "align, optimize, understand," to help organizations link business and user requirements. Join us to learn more about PerformanceCycle and discover how an organization's culture impacts their performance management strategy; what processes can help organizations improve results; and what technology is available to help companies optimize performance.
Tackling T&E Expense Reports
Traditionally managed through manual, paper-based processes, the management of T&E expenses is a complex corporate procedure that involves both closely monitored policies and employees' personal time and money. Unfortunately, lack of automation in managing one of the largest categories of controllable enterprise spend is the norm, leaving most enterprises with inefficient processes that offer little visibility into overall T&E spend and no mechanism to ensure policy compliance. Learn how your organization can become Best-in-Class by accomplishing the following: 1. Gain enhanced visibility into T&E spending. 2. Significantly reduce processing costs associated with expense reports. 3. Improve compliance to policies.

White Papers

Infor PM
The speed, complexity, and global nature of business today presents challenges for even the best-managed organizations. To adapt to this constantly changing environment, companies require broad, deep access to critical information in real time. They need cross-departmental, integrated views of operational and financial drivers and results to support company-wide collaboration, enabling them to harness the best thinking possible no matter where in the company or the world it originates. They must gain firm control over their financial reporting and disclosure processes to provide more information faster to satisfy the requirements of regulators, shareholders, and other stakeholders.
