Cost Management Alerts

April 30, 2007 2:29 PM
From BusinessFinanceLink, Issue #399

Companies may be able to benefit from increased competition in the insurance industry this year: Property and casualty insurance premiums declined sharply in the first quarter, and insurers have been easing up on underwriting standards. According to 38 percent of brokers surveyed by the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers, premiums for large companies dropped between 10 percent and 20 percent from Q4 of 2006 to Q1, 2007. Businesses can look for even more favorable rates and terms because competition is expected to increase.
