Financial services providers have long been the vanguard of enterprise risk management (ERM), but even these early adopters still haven't finished tweaking their programs. The latest in a long series of studies by Towers Perrin finds that life insurance companies are steadily enhancing their ERM tools and capabilities but still have a way to go in key areas such as establishing the organization's risk appetite and preparing for emerging risks.
